Dr. Howard brings a wealth of experience to his current position, including rotations at the Emory Department of Rehabilitation Medicine. There, he collaborated closely with individuals facing traumatic brain injuries, various cognitive impairments stemming from different diseases, cardiovascular ailments, and surgeries. Notably, Dr. Howard played a key role in the development of the Emory Healthcare Veterans Cognitive Remediation Program, providing essential cognitive remediation services to service members affected by traumatic brain injuries.
His contributions extend to the academic sphere, with publications in prestigious journals such as Archives of Clinical Neuropsychology and The Clinical Neuropsychologist. Additionally, Dr. Howard completed an internship at Wasatch Mental Health, where he conducted neuropsychological assessments for individuals grappling with substance abuse, neurological disorders, ADHD, and strokes. Dr. Howard completed his postdoctoral fellowship at Thomson Memory & Attention, where he had the opportunity to administer neuropsychological evaluations across the lifespan. Dr. Howard's clinical interests are diverse, encompassing cognitive aging, health disparities, and community outreach.
